Tim Thomas & Nathan Horton Hits’

Last night was a crazy game in Boston. The bruins ended up crushing the Canucks 8-1, but the scoring was the least exciting part of the game. The entire game was fast-paced with everyone finishing their hits. Here are the two most notable hits of the nights.

Nathan Horton getting knocked out/concussed by Vancouver’s Aaron Rome. Rome was suspended for 4 games and Horton is out with a concussion.

One Response to Tim Thomas & Nathan Horton Hits’

I don’t know how you feel but I just don’t think the Rome hit is as bad as everyone is making it out to be. The Torres hit, in my opinion, was much worse than this one because of the obvious intent to injure and the fact that Torres went for Seabrook’s head. Everyone’s opinion, including the league who handed down the decision, is swayed because Horton was lying on the ice for so long. He was severely hurt, which is something you never want to see, but it shouldn’t take way from what the hit actually was. 4 games once again shows the inconsistency with which the NHL wants to govern its league and there are no precedents ever set because each penalty given out is so different than the previous no matter the degree of similarity among them. Also, you think you could check out my blog cuz I’d love to hear what you have to say. http://chrisross91.wordpress.com/2011/06/07/significant-injury/
