James Reimer is the FUTURE

They call him Optimus Reim. The name definitely suits him. The Maple Leaf rookie goaltender just got his 16th win of the year, along with his 3rd shutout. He has been the one glimmer of hope in the Leafs playoff push. With 8 games remaining in the season sitting 5 points out of the playoffs, the Leafs truly can’t afford to lose any games. I saw the strangest coaching decision happen last week when Ron Wilson opted to play JS Giguere against the Florida Panthers instead of Reimer. Reimer in fact didn’t even dress that game. We lost 3-0 to Florida in a must-win game where we desperately needed those 2 points. Hopefully it doesn’t come back to haunt us. We can only look to the future now, and the final 8 games.
